I welcome you to The Keyboards for Christ Music Ministry's New 2010 Vacation Bible School Program Hiking for Life. Now in our 10th year on the Internet our programs have grown from a humble beginning of a pilot program of 12 children into a worldwide ministry. In 2006 I launched my first Vacation Bible School Program called The Hero Academy which took hold with a flooding of registrations for this program. Hundreds of churches and even missionaries have used this program from its beginning. There are two new VBS programs for your use in 2010. The Master's Call Music Camp was a huge success, which was introduced as a pilot at the Dallas Pike Baptist Church outside Wheeling, WV my home in rural Ohio County. Like in everything today budgets and money play a important part of any program or event. This program can be done at your own level. The walking sticks cost nothing just some time to go and get them. You can use one real compass and purchase some others by the dozen from Oriental trading. The items we use like the back pack, compass, vest, along with the nail cross craft will cost you under 9.00 a child. That is about one trip to your local fast food shop? Do a fund raiser, have business donate, or have a family donate, take up a special collection. LOOK at this as a mission project to make a real difference in childrens lives. BUT remember this program can be followed without the other items, the walking sticks are important and simply are FREE.
I do recommend that you strive to make the skits as REAL to the children as possible. It will take some planning and time if you can make the costumes for the adults to wear plan it many months in advance. The Roman soldier, Pharaoh, and the Priest are are the important three costumes. To purchase all three you are talking around $100.00. Remember the program is FREE this allows you to spend your funds in the visual effect for the kids. The easy-up tents, can be loaned by those in your church or community that have them, the other items, simply ASK for donations. This is a very intense program and it WORKS!. But like in all things you will only get out of it what you put into it. So PLAN ahead. Don't come a week before and rush and try to do it right. We should want to do are very best for God and His Children. If you are planning to do this program then ask those in charge of your churches ministry and outreach to INVEST in the materials for this program. Take it very serious not just like another years VBS. This program will make a difference in children's lives and Bless your church and community.

We may not be able to change the world, but we can make a difference wherever we are to the people we rub shoulders with everyday. We can be a tool that God uses to accomplish whatever He wills. Whether local or foreign, the call is to serve and love. Jesus was set aside for the purpose of the Father, we should do the same.(Proverbs 3:5-6) We must "TRAIN" our children and youth for this MISSION in each of their lives.
